Product Description

CT1 BW1 Sealant & Adhesive

CT1 BW1 is a versatile, high-performance sealing and bonding compound designed for strong adhesion and waterproof sealing on a wide variety of building, roofing and maintenance applications. Its multi-purpose resin-based formula offers excellent bond strength, elasticity, and resistance to water, weathering and temperature changes — making it a reliable solution for both internal and external use.

Key features

  • Strong adhesion across many common substrates including metal, concrete, wood, plastics, EPDM, PVC, glass and more — useful for sealing joints, flashing, repair, pipework and membrane overlaps.
  • Fully waterproof once cured — providing a watertight seal that resists rainwater, seepage and moisture ingress even under challenging weather conditions.
  • Flexible and elastic finish — remains pliable after curing to accommodate building movement, thermal expansion/contraction or substrate flex without cracking or losing adhesion.
  • Durable weather and UV resistance — suitable for prolonged exposure outdoors without deterioration, ensuring long-term performance for external joints, roofing details or repairs.
  • Paintable over when cured — giving flexibility in finishing and making it suitable for visible joints or areas where aesthetic blending is required.
  • Suitable for interior and exterior applications — can be used on roofs, walls, joints, around windows and doors, in wet areas or other structural details.

Applications & Use Cases

CT1 BW1 is ideal for sealing and bonding jobs where a reliable, watertight, flexible joint is required. Typical uses include joining and sealing roofing membranes, flashing and trims, sealing around roof penetrations (vents, pipes, skylights), bonding dissimilar materials in refurbishment works, repairing cracks or leaks, sealing perimeters around doors and windows, and many general maintenance tasks. When used as part of a waterproofing or roofing system, it helps deliver a lasting seal that adapts to building movement and environmental exposure.

For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry and free from grease or dust before application. Apply in a continuous bead or fill joint as required, tool or smooth the surface if needed, then allow sufficient curing time per manufacturer guidelines before subjecting to water or heavy load. Once cured, BW1 provides a tough, flexible seal that remains effective over time with minimal maintenance.
