Lap sealant is used to seal exposed membrane edges and seam terminations within EPDM roofing systems. It provides protection against moisture ingress where membrane layers meet or where sealing is required as a finishing detail.
The sealant remains flexible after curing, allowing it to accommodate minor movement caused by temperature change or building settlement. It is typically applied as a protective bead to reinforce system integrity and assist long-term waterproofing.
